Week in Review - April 17, 2015 - April 25, 2016

Basically two things happened this week.  One is that a HUGE pole fell on our building. Again!  I can tell you I might have avoided standard legal protocol and climbed up that building to where I could find the responsible (or might I say irresponsible) parties and just let them have it...I'm sorry, but when that large pole just falls on our building!  I'm not going to just sit there and wait until June when they will supposedly fix everything.

So, I let them have it... Nicely, but they got it.  I wont go into the details, but I will let you know that they are going to be doing some things for us here in the future. I'm sick of them causing so much damage to our building, and making us feel insecure in our own building. It fell from 7 Stories!  Yes, and that is usually where Cars (And Presidents) is or was normally parked.  I can tell you that we haven't parked cars there for a good time now...

And to finish up the week we went to Huatapayllana again as we just love going with the missionaries who go here in Huancayo!  4 Times!  Today the sun was completely shining, got really burnt, and we made the fastest time the missionaries have made in a very long time.... Needless to say I was utterly destroyed (tired) so we went to Burger King and I bought a Hamburger and an Ice Cream.  Day completed.  Sometimes you just need a good ice cream after a good hike.

Thats basically it... This week has just been loaded with normal things to do.  Hope your week has been great!
Love you all!

Week(s) in Review April 9, 2016 - April 16, 2016

Well, since I wasn't able to write last week for the Move which could only do on Saturday (Which also was our P-Day which we basically lost) I have made an recording.  It is in three parts, but I don't know how they uploaded.  Also, I have uploaded the pictures that correspond to the events of the week.  Pictures of how the old house was before we move in, and pictures of the new house.

PS: In that the new house is half the price of what the old house was.  I have a feeling that will surprise you, but it should be a good story..

Love you all,
Elder Holmes
Peru Huancayo Mission

The total time is about 15 minutes to listen to all three. The 1st one he will speak in Spanish for about 2 minutes.... then English for the rest. Enjoy!

These are pictures of the house the office missionaries have lived in
for the past few years BUT the pictures are from BEFORE the
missionaries lived there.

THE MOVE from one mission apartment to the new one they are living in NOW!

The NEW house for the office missionaries! All these pictures, more of an
upgrade than living in the jungle.
